A little about the Director:

I have a degree in Economics from Auckland University and trained in Chartered Accounting at BDO and other firms in Auckland. For many years I operated a sole practice on Waiheke Island (where I am fortunate to still own a holiday bach).

In 2009 I formed Armstrong Sinkinson & Associates in Takapuna with Mike Sinkinson, a Family Trust specialist. After his retirement, my present partner Steve Hotchin joined and we rebranded as Armstrong Hotchin & Co. We have over 800 clients and file around 2000 tax returns per year. We operate a corporate trustee service for several trust clients.

I have had a lifelong connection with West Auckland, born and bred, and recently moved into Hobsonville, where my son attends school. ​​After seeing the growth of business within the northwest Auckland region, it was apparent to me that there is room for a small, mobile and locally-accessible accounting consultancy, available 7 days a week. So TaxMasters NZ Ltd was created.​​

Our Takapuna client base covers a range of business types including Companies (and LTCs), Partnerships, Sole-Traders, Family Trusts, Clubs and Estates. I personally handle the accounting requirements of investors, importer/retailers, professionals, trades, Estates and more.

I try to go above and beyond for clients; I even went to New York once, briefly, to check on the progress of art sales for an eccentric Waiheke client. I have a ski-bach in Ohakune that friends and clients occasionally get to enjoy in between bookings!​​
